WORKING IN NEW BUSINESS

SINCE THE LATE EIGHTIES

Our 'Business Development' journey started back in 1987 when our chief consultant 'John Pummell' setup one of the first new business departments in the UK at TMD : Carat. This was a brand new initiative; it had never been done before, so, it was unchartered territory, but an area that needed to be prioritised to sustain and drive ongoing growth.

The new department was an overwhelming success with John bringing in a whopping £42 million over the next 4 years via a range of 'big brand' clients including: Abbey National (now Santander), Hepworth Building Products, Stylus Records, Drum Men's Toiletries, WL Housewares and National Savings.

In 1991, John left TMD to setup one of the first 'New Business Agencies' in the UK (and Globally) called 'The New Business Consultancy Ltd' (TNBC). The company went from strength to strength, building a team of 35 staff and surpassing £1.2m annual turnover.

In 2000 John sold his shares at TNBC and moved to RedBus Interhouse as their European Sales & Marketing Director. In 2002 John setup a new consultancy and has successfully worked with numerous agencies on their business development campaigns over the years.

Fast forward to today - Managing AGB, winning new business for clients and still firing on all cylinders.
